Ft. Negley, Nashville, TN

Ft. Negley, Nashville, Tn,.. as promised, and as it looked around 5 years ago, they were supposed to use the survey to refurbish the site, however, I have not been back there lately to see how they've done, if all is well, it should look now like the pictures below, but this is what it looked like before they started. I've always kind of thought the overall effect of the survey looks like a whale,.. if you stand back,.and look at it,.. it's just a hill downtown, but it is one of the most unique sites I have ever seen, and it became one of those drawings that I took a great amount of pride in,..Not that I don't take pride in all of them,..but this one was historic, in my life, and in the real world, as well.. anyway, the drawing came out really nice, but it was a beast to shoot,.. and took three of us several days.

Yep, whale, the first thing that came to mind when I brought up your page.

That is a very interesting design, I can see how that would take a lot of time to do. Lots of detail there. Beautiful drawing.

From the hilltop location and design they should have been able to defend themselves quite well. I will have to find a bit of history on this one.

Have a good one,
SQ
